
I’m Olly Appleton and you may have met me in Glenn Somodi’s book series, Olly & The Spores. Ever since I befriended a secret community of Spores living under my home in Littleton, Massachusetts, I have been obsessed with anything related to mushrooms.
But I don’t think it’s just me! According to Glamour.com, “Mushroom decor is going to be a HUGE trend in 2023.” Even Homes & Gardens agrees about the ‘mycelium movement‘ but argues it may not be for everyone.
I have always been a bit of a nature geek. I even have a museum wall of pressed plants in the back of Mr. Harvey’s classroom, which he honored me by naming “Olly’s Herbarium.” You can read about it on page 17 of the book. I also love going on adventures, and am always looking for adventures, treasures, secrets, and anything magical.
